The Diocesan Museum welcomes for the first time in our country the Colezzione Paolo VI (Paul VI collection), after months of cooperation and collaboration with the Italian art gallery exhibiting the works. The collection reflects Paul VI’s interest in contemporary art and his legacy in the relationship between spirituality and art. On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Salvador Dalí’s birth, the Museu Diocesà of Barcelona presents an exhibition that vindicates the figure of this universal artist in relation to the city of Barcelona. It is a journey through more than one hundred snapshots of spaces in Barcelona linked to the figure of Salvador Dalí, from his first exhibition in Barcelona (1922) until well into the 1970s, just before the first symptoms of the illnesses that limited his public appearances began to emerge.

The photographs are accompanied by various materials from the period, such as posters, books, records and exhibition programmes, engravings, manuscripts and original drawings.

The exhibition has been curated by the art historian Ricard Mas. Its particular aesthetic and graphic design has been conceived by Estudio de la Mirada, led by the artist Jesús Galdón.
